Ranbir skipped Anurag Basu's Saraswati puja because of Katrina?
Mumbai: Every year filmmaker Anurag Basu organizes a Saraswati puja along with music director Pritam in his apartment. Ranbir Kapoor has been religiously attending the event since many years while his ex-flame Katrina Kaif has been attending since past three years. But this year it was only the latter that was present at the event while Ranbir was missing.
"It’s a grand affair with Anurag and Pritam preparing the bhog (feast) themselves. RK’s been a regular for some years at this event while his ex Katrina Kaif attending it three years ago when the couple was dating. With her solo appearance at Anurag’s puja this year, it sparked off speculation whether Ranbir was deliberately avoiding his ex," a source told a leading daily.
We wonder whether Ranbir is trying to avoid Katrina at public events due to the discomfort they share after their break-up early last year.
But a source close to the actor refuted the news by saying, "However, the truth is, on this day, the actor was shooting for his Dutt biopic directed by Rajkumar Hirani."

Huma Qureshi heaps praise on Akshay
Actress Huma Qureshi hopes to imbibe the sense of discipline and hardwork from his “Jolly LLB 2” co-star Akshay Kumar who she says, puts in his best while working.
Huma feels the “Airlift” actor works without any star trappings on the sets.
“One always feels that superstars tend to take their success for granted, but not with him (Akshay). I’ve seen him work really hard for our film and I am sure he does that for every film he is a part of,” Huma said in an interview.
“He does four films in a year. I hope to imbibe some sense of discipline and how he manages to spend time with his family, children, how involved he is. I want to be that great a multi-tasker in that sense,” she added.
Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the courtroom-drama-comedy is a sequel to the 2013 film Jolly LLB which starred Arshad Warsi and Amrita Rao in the lead roles.
Huma says while working with Akshay was an enriching experience, there were times when the actor played pranks on her as well.
“He took my phone and messaged to three heroes that I love them, I want to marry them. Then I had to call everyone and say I am really sorry it was a prank. They all laughed the hardest when they knew it was Akshay.
“He does these things but he is a great guy to work with. Sense of discipline, time, respect for other people’s time, to get that from a big star is amazing.”
The actress lashes out at people who trolled Harshvardhan Kapoor.
Harshvardhan Kapoor’s recent run-in with actor Diljit Dosanjh and a media group for giving the latter, the award for the best debutant, seems to have hurt his star-sister Sonam Kapoor.
“He’s not that kind of a person. Harsh is the sweetest, gentlest, kindest soul I’ve met. And to troll him just because he made a point about the debutant’s award, is just too unfair. He was speaking out of conviction. And according to me, he was not speaking out of line,” says the protective and proud sister, who feels Harsh was ‘awesome’ in his debut film, Mirzya.
“Just because it didn’t do well, doesn’t mean all the hard work that has gone into it is nullified. Even my debut film, Saawariya, didn’t work at the box office. But I’m very proud of it. And I’m proud of what my brother did in Mirzya,” says Sonam.
Regarding Harsh’s objection to Diljit Dosanjh’s debut award, Sonam says, “Harsh is one of Diljit Paaji’s biggest fans. Harsh’s objection was on technical not on creative grounds. Our father (Anil Kapoor) has always taught us to be appreciative of other actors’ works. We’ve grown up in an atmosphere where we have constantly heard other actors’ work being appreciated. Neither my brother nor I would ever feel resentful of the good work done by our colleagues.”

For Babu (Nani), who clears B.Tech after multiple attempts, it was love it first sight with Keerthy (Keerthy Suresh) who slaps him on the road mistakenly. He proposes her, she rejects. He tells her that he would disturb her, she says she is not that weak to 'be disturbed'.
Taking it as a challenge, he joins her college as a student. He truly disturbs her, and she relents to his demands0. Trouble is that her father (Sachin Khadekar) doesn't want such wayward as his alludu (son-in-law). He arranges her marriage with a police officer Siddharth Varma (Naveen Chandra) and gets his daughter to promise him that she should marry whomever her orders. Now she tells Babu to make a situation that her father should order to marry him, not Siddharth.

Beyhadh 03 February 2017 begins with Maya sitting in front of the Ganesh ji. She has a huge sharp knife in her hand. She sees some shadow on her window and walks towards it with a knife in her hand. It is dark and she doesn’t get to know who it is. She fights with that man and they fall beside a light lamp. It is Arjun. He has come to meet her. Maya says ‘sorry’ to him as she thought it was Ashwin.
At Ashwin’s home, Ashwin is sitting with his girl friend and drinking whisky. Janvi walks in and threats Ashwin that she will tell the police and he will be charged attempt to murder for what he has done. She tells him to stay away from Maya. Ashwin tells Janvi that if she will go to police then he will show Maya’s file to the police; he hands over the file to Janvi to look at it. And if the truth is revealed in front of the police then Maya will get imprisonment for 20 to 25 years. Further, Ashwin tells Janvi to stay quiet for the betterment. Janvi sees a lighter and a cigarette lying on the table. She immediately picks up the lighter and puts the file on fire. Ashwin rushes to hold Janvi but she hits him with a vase. Ashwin’s head start bleeding and the file is also completely burnt. Janvi leaves.
On the other side, Vandana is sitting with pandit. She expresses her concern and gives Arjun’s kundli to him. She doesn’t have Maya’s kundli but she knows her birth date. The pandit asks if any pandit has said that their 36 guna matches. Vandana says ‘yes’ and then pandit said it is true. Their 36 guna matches and this girl is going to devote her life to Arjun, but this reason could create some stress also. He tells Vandana that too much love is also worrisome as she will do everything to achieve him. She can even kill someone. Vandana tells the pandit that she won’t let them marry. The pandit tells her that it is impossible and they are meant to be married. Vandana tells the pandit that she needs to protect Arjun but pandit tells Vandana that nothing could be done and Arjun will have to deal with everything. At Maya’s home, Maya’s arm is bleeding and Arjun checks her arm. She has got a tattoo of his name. Arjun kisses the tattoo on her arm and he tells her that she didn’t need to do it. Maya said that it was important to get his name inked so that the whole world knows that Arjun belongs to Maya. Maya stares at Arjun and softly pushes him on a bed. She closes the door and comes back to him. She slowly unbuttons his shirt and grabs a tattoo machine. She starts writing something on his chest. He screams with pain and Maya immediately pulls back the machine. The scene is romantic. Arjun holds her hand and brings it close to his chest. Maya starts writing her name on Arjun’s chest. Arjun bears all the pain and a soft romantic song plays in the background. His chest is bleeding but he has smile on his face. Arjun tells her that no one will ever come in between them. Later, Arjun reaches back to his home and Vandana is waiting for him. Vandana questions Arjun if he has gone to see Maya. Vandana is upset that he is breaking all the rituals and she wants to speak to him about Maya. Vandana sees blood on his shirt and asks him if he fought with someone. Vandana slides his shirt and sees Maya’s name. Arjun tells Vandana that day Maya’s mehendi was ruined so they decided to carve each other’s names on their bodies. Vandana asks if Maya has done that. This look is very different from the Amrapali influenced clothes worn by Shikha Swaroop 20 years ago. Bright hues of turquoise blue, hot pink and golden have been replaced by ivory white, lavender and rose gold. They are elaborate but not frilly. Kritika, who has taken care to look radiant as a princess is simply mesmerizing in the elaborate outfits. Neerusha has been working on the look for the past three months and has designed almost 10 looks for Kritika. The show is been produced by Nikkhil Sinha who has conceptualised the fantasy drama. Kritika hails from Meerut and made her debut with Yahan Ke Hum Sikander with Ravi Dubey . She shot to fame with Kitni Mohabbat Hai with Karan Kundra. The Ekta Kapoor show was a bitter sweet love story where she played Aarohi. The show had two seasons and made Kritika a popular TV star. She later did a couple of shows with Sony TV, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge where she played a doctor and Reporters with Rajeev Khandelwal. Kritika took part in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 too.
Fantasy dramas are ruling TV right now with Naagin 2 enjoying undisputed popularity. Chandrakanta that is coming on Life Ok in March will have tough competition. Lancers pip Warriors
Kalinga Lancers eked out a close 6-5 win over Jaypee Punjab Warriors to jump to the top of the standings in the Hockey India League here on Thursday.
Glenn Turner converted a Matthew Dawson’s pass to give the home team a 2-0 lead. Skipper Moritz Fuerste successfully used the video referral to win a second penalty corner and duly converted.
Warriors gifted the Lancers their third penalty corner, which Fuerste converted.
Uthappa fired an electric counter attack to put one past the keeper in the 32nd minute.
Warrior pulled one through a field goal by Mark Gleghorne in the 34th minute and converted a penalty corner through Satbir Singh minutes later.
Warriors’s Mink Wan Der Weerden converted a penalty corner in the 52nd minute and Arman Qureshi’s conversion gave the Warriors their fifth.
